Is there a way to drop bf while gaining muscle?

Im just wondering if there was a carbs to protein ratio that would help you decrease bodyfat while still gaining muscle.

I am 5,10 198lbs cant see abs, fat on glutes.

Im not fat but I had a bad layoff for about 7 months and ate alot because I could not workout.

Ive heard that you cant gain muscle and lose fat at the same time, but then I hear about guys whos body fat is lowering and they are still gaining muscle.

Any info?
 
It is possible. The most important thing is diet and cardio. If you do a test/winny or test/eq or something similar with a strict diet and cardio, you can easily gain muscle while losing fat.
 
I gained about 8 pounds almost 2 weeks into my cutting cycle. Now that I am at 100mcg of T3 a day and starting clen though the weight is going back down abit. Im still getting stronger, more vascular and adding mass, so yes it can be done. Im running fina 75mg eod inj, winny 50mg ed oral. T3 for 35 days starting day 1 of fina. Starting at 25mcg, going up 25mcg after 5 days, maxing at 100mcg for 5 days and then stepping back down. Started the clen 1st day I hit 100mcg T3 and will continue it for two weeks, take two off and then hit it again for another two which will take me out past end of cycle.
 
My favorite way... A large weekly dose of Ttokkyo EQ, and a SUPER CLEAN diet, filled with 3 1/2 shitloads of protein.

I always lose off the mid section, while packin' it on the upper torso and arms.
 
its possible, but ive always found it much easier to bulk then cut, I have much better gains this way. If i can put on 15lbs of lean muscle by bulking then cutting... then i would say that if i tried to bulk and cut at the same time i would only gain about 7.5 lbs

3 1/2 shitloads of protein...lol...that kills me! :D
 
It is very possable but you have to have a good diet and know your body well. I know some people who eat 3500cals a day and if they eat any more they start to add on fat but some people can eat what every they want and not put on nearly an fat at all.

Possible but difficult and chances are you will not gain close to as much muscle as you would if not trying to lose fat. A good way to do it, where you could gain considerable muscle while lowering bodyfat, is with gh. GH, some insulin used post workout, t3 at a reasonable dose(25mcg a day), arimidex to create a low estrogen environment, and some testosterone and anadrol or d-bol. Of course you need to follow a good diet. Very high protein like 2 grams per pound of bodyweight. The doses of everything would need to be adjusted for your individual body type. This works very well.
 
Im on a bulking cycle consisting of 1g/test, eq, and dbol. To my surprise, im losing bodyfat and increasing muscle mass. For some odd reason, im not bloating at all, even without anti-e's.
 
So if I did a cycle of 500mg of sust for 9 weeks, 200mg of deca for 9 weeks, how many carbs should I eat daily?

This is to lose some bodyfat while gaining some muscle.
 
I don't have the brainpower upstairs to calculate the number of carbs your body is going to react to.

The only thing I can offer is what I did.

I wouldn't eat any sort of carbohydrates after 6 pm. I ate a high carb breakfast for energy, but for all of my meals/snacks I make sure protien is the major portion of it.

I never cut carbs out completely. It makes me feel weak and tired as shit.

You seem to be taking the approach of a bulking cycle, however. To take a bulking combo of AS, and have a cutting diet, doesn't make too much sense.

I don't intentionally cut when trying to add mass... I'm just fortunate to grow really well off of Equipoise, so I get no water retention, and my diet is good all around, which helps with the low body-fat.

Personally i would up the deca a bit(try at least 300mg/week). And if you don't want to be fat with those two AS you will probably retain a nice amount of water which will make you feel fat. So get some type of Anti-E. You don't have to cut carbs out, just eat clean carbs oatmeal, baked potatoes, etc. Stay away from junk food, hit up your cardio and train hard. Good Luck.

I'll be attempting this very shortly with some Oxandrolone and I'll let you know how it goes. I think the best drug in regards to losing fat and gaining muscle is oxandrolone. Studies have shown that it has a definite effect on fat stores, both visceral and subcutaneous, moreso than any other steroid. Combined with mild caloric deficit I think you can lose significant bodyfat while gaining some decent mass. 15 pounds of muscle may not sound like much, but losing 15 pounds of fat at the same time would result in a dramaticly different physical appearance to say the least.

Diet will be the major factor however. Keep protein very high, keep carbs moderate as you can't build muscle without carbs(insulin), and keep fat relatively low and get most of it from EFA sources. I plan on going about 400 cals below maintenance during my cycle along with a few days of cardio. I will probably adjust this after a week or 2 based on results. Also make sure you have good meal timing. Get plenty of protein all the time, but especially in the meals after your workout as protein synthesis is peaking at this time. You should probably cut carbs down a bit before bed, but not totally. Low carbing is NOT the way to build muscle and burn fat. You need insulin to build muscle, it's that simple.

Also don't cut calories too low or you won't gain much muscle. You need to be in a mild deficit, no more than about 500 cals. Steroids seems to put your body in a hormonal state that favors muscle gain over fat storage so even with a mild caloric deficit I believe your body will greedily use the extra protein for muscle building and then use fat stores to make up the deficit.

I'll soon see how my theories hold out as I'm expecting my oxandrolone tomorrow :)

I also noted gains being leaner with that combination, and I'm one of those that eats everything in sight on EQ. I will do that cycle over and over again and recommend it to anyone who will listen.
