I'm not happy with the direction its going. I was happy when I saw that Jacob and not-Locke were not only brothers but TWINS! I LOVE IT! But I hate the part about "the light" and needing to protect "the light". Stupid.


So, even now I still am siding w/ the black smoke monster (not-Locke) just as I always have. What a pussy Jacob is. Pussy. Seriously, he stuck with his mother(ish) even though she was a murder and a liar from the BEGINNING. How can he represent what is good with the island? As far as I'm concered, I hope the black smoke monster gets off the island and kills Jacob in the process. Put him out of his misery plz.

Did we ever find out not-Locke's name? I didnt catch it. I was at my parent's house watching it and they are old and dont have DVR so I couldnt pause, Abby had a hard time settling down. Figures.

What do you guys thik about it? Do you like the idea of "the light"? What do you think "the light" is?

It was a pretty useless episode...especially considering its the 3rd to last episode ever.

None of it made much sense or answered questions we needed answered.

Meh...hopefully next week picks it back up again.

Well we know why Jacob and not-locke are at odds and how not-locke became the black smoke monster, but I agree wtf the whole episdoe was about them, and now we have this "light" nonsense and the drama w/ the mothers. Stupid.

Any episode without Sawyer is a waste.

The entire "light" thing was stupid. However, showing the marble rocks in the bag that Jack and Kate found in the first season shows that they had this entire angle plotted out. I used to think they wrote the story on the fly one season at a time.

But man... they could have done this episode on webcast or something.

the fucking tivo cut out with 15 minutes to go. I think the last thing i saw was jacob taking that drink at the light hole with his mother, he was now "the protector" or some gay ass shit like that. What happened after that and did anything esplain how the young jedi became the black monster? Or how either of them became these "half gods" or whatever the fuck they clearly are..?? And was the light explained at all?

Jacob became the protector after he drank the wine his liar/murder mother(ish) gave him. The nameless other brother, the smoke monster become the monster after Jacob pushed him into "the light" because nameless brother killed his evil fake- mother(ish) because she blocked the nameless brother from getting off the island. Did he ever get a name? I was half expecting his name to be Esau after I saw the birth lol

Nope, the light isnt explained, I'm dissapointed they even went that way but oh well. Still plenty of time to see things change. Wait, actually there is not.

so homeboy became the shadow after getting pushed into the light? where? in the well? Did they explain how he was going to get off the island in the first place? I remember something about that well in the past, didn't the regular island people use it to get off too?

He was pushed into the stream where the water and the light met, where the liar/murder Mother showed them the light as children. Not-Locke made the wheel I believe, this is where it starts to not make sense to me. I believe not-locke was using the well to access the light to make the wheel to get off the island but his liar/murder Mother covered it with dirt. The light was magnetic or something. It has powers I guess especially when combined with water. The symbolism of the mothers and the light and the water is making me uncomfortable w/ the direction they are going with the ending, I'm setting myself up for dissapointment

so they didn't really explain how the light could turn not-locke into the shadow king eh? You know for a minute there at the beginning of this season I was kicking myself for not having watched this more for in the beginning of the series. But now I see it really doesn't matter as people who have been religiously watching it from the beginning are as clueless as people who have just picked it up this season. If it weren't so well acted and the dialogue well written I would think this show was a heaping hot mess.

it was pretty retarded so this "special" light should be protected but should not be approached or it's worse than death however the guy in black shirt (they have NOT said his name) saw it and then turned into smoke and seems to want to get off the island anyway.... Jacob was told by his "mom" he wasnt the chosen on but he has no choice and drink this I soooo wouldnt have..... this was pretty lame....
