The UNCF last year raised $139 million. Its imprint can be found on everything from higher education policy and research, both here and abroad, to government contracting to providing schools with technical assistance. It even offers scholarships now for Black students who attend traditionally White institutions as well as for White students who attend historically Black colleges and universities.

the problem i have with it is the word "Negro" in the title. its funny at leased us whites hide the fact that an organization is geared towards whites. the black community plasters it all over the place. ie. BET, UNCF, http://www.blackpeoplemeet.com, i could go on but the fact is the black community seems to segregate themselves. im all for equality but we can never have equality if all sides don't stop segregating themselves.
