I Like to tan espcially when im doing a good amount of test, #1 it makes ur skin darker so harder to see red pimples #2 it helps clear my skin up I think it has to do with drying it out and #3 it helps make you look a lot more defined and cut. I'm talking about once maybe twice a week thats all is it really going to make me all wrinkly? or give me skin cancer??

will it increase your chances of getting skin cancer? yes
are steroids bad for you? yes
is breathing poluted air bad for you? yes
is driving dangerous? yes

and so on, you get my point

Very good point, I heard somewhere it will make you really wrinkly when you get older, is that true? And how many of you bros tan???

Yes, tanning beds are bad. I believe they have 100 times the harmful UV rays of the sun. I think a lot of it has to do with your skin tone, I'm a cracker, tanning is a very bad idea for me. If someone had darker skin I think they adapt to it easier and it is less harmful.

Nah the darkness of your skin only depends on the amount of melenan your body produces. The damage done while in the sun has nothing to do with how dark your are or how dark you can get. When you tan a lot through out your life it will decrease elasticity in you skin, which can cause sagging skin and wrinkles.

I remember something from my anatomy and physiology class. I can't remember if they were a type of skin cell or pigment or whatever. Anyway, you have these two cells (we'll just call them that for our current purpose because I think that's what they were anyway) in your skin. The sun rays kill off one type, but do not harm the other type which is able to make repairs and replenish the other type of cell. Tanning beds kill off the other type of cell so that when you go out in the sun and have the first type of cells killed off, the cells that make repairs are gone and cannot repair or replenish the other type of cell. The first type that the sun kills is not able to make repairs or replenish. Anyway, you get the jist. Ever since I learned this, I just tan in the sun because it's much healthier.

Thats true, but I think that if you are fair skinned you have a better chance of getting skin cancer.

Dark skinned individuals have a higher tolerance for sun and UV rays. You are right Silver.
