he was groomed and coddled from birth to be an elite athlete...he had no concept of reality...he got addicted to gambling while he was still in high school...it's not really all that uncommon a story.

I really had high hopes for Ryan Leaf.
back then I collected sports cards in 98, and I bought a bunch of his rookies. lmao, i traded all the rookies i had for a SP Authentic Peyton Manning Rc which at time was worth $50. then it went sky high and I sold Peyton Manning rc for $500 on ebay. so i made out well on Ryan Leaf but got rid of his cards at teh right time. the guy that bought the Peyton manning rc wanted me to give him his money back cause he didn't think it was in mint. i told him to fuck off
