has there ever been a non-plat that was promoted to moderator status?

(im pretty sure there have been females though who got free plat, and eventually became moderators though) cheapskates

I think I'm too straightforward and honest to ever do it. Not that some of the others are not that way as well, it's just very obvious with me.

BAck before your time, when this whole website was free the mods were voted on without preference to who gave money. Because it was all free.

how long ago was that? I think I started lurking here back in 2001 if I remember right. (I joined that year too)
And I thought I remember plat being around back when I joined. tough to remember.

I remember when it was free and the holy hell that came when George announced platinum membership.
Elite is not the same site as back then,it has grown and like everything it takes money to run.

Yes.

There were mods from the previous elections (not this one that just passed with Perk, Chef, etc..) that were non-plats.
