is my house now flagged by customs?

about 8 months ago I got a seizure letter from US customs stating that they had a package that might be of interest to me (it was my gear that I ordered). I didn't reply to it, I just claimed it as a loss! Now is my addy flagged now? Will they open everything that comes to my addy from overseas?

There is nothing better customs would want to do than sit down on a chair and read the addresses of the 3 million + of small packages the port has to deal with every day and try and match it up to your address. However they wouldnt be able to do this so dont worry.
They do have better things to do.

Well from what I understand once a package is seized and it has happened to me twice then your address is flagged for 6 months and all packages coming from overseas are checked as for domestic packages I do not know if they check those also.

Listen, do you have any idea how many International packages come in to your country every day?

Do you know how many customs officers each Port of Entry employs to do their job?

Do you seriously think that the officers have your name and address on a piece of paper and as each package goes through the read the addresses on each parcel and then read the paper with your name on to try and match the two off?

Addresses will be on file, computer and printed off in a cabinet. They cannot inspect every single package because of your 10 amps of sust. What dont people understand about this?

Why do people always give incorrect advice and try and pass it off as being good advice?

Well Irongame you do need to chill-just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't mean they are automatially wrong. I know two brothers who are customs agents at the Philadelphia International Airpot who passed off the infomation to me. Each package is scanned address and all-ran through a computer and if your address is flagged from a previous seized shipment then your package will be checked-even if the name is different

Customs will flag your address. You should find an alternative address for your next shipment. Some bros still will get their pacages once their address is flagged, but I would hate to take the chance and loose my money and gear!

G-zilla that is what I am talking about-each package is scanned along with the address and when they run a computer check all address's that have been flagged get their packages checked-for 6 months after that the flag is lifted off your address.

So tell me something all you smart asses who know everything. How can someone get a seizure and then two weeks later gets it reshipped and it arrives? Or continues ordering for 6 months and no more seizures. This is not rocket science here.

I have to agree with IG, you guys are reading way too much into it. There was nothing to scan on any of my packages. They would have to manually enter your addy into a computer to pull any info. They don't have time for this. There are thousands of packages that enter the US everyday. If your packages are continually seized, they your source sucks, find a new one.

I've never seen an barcode or anything similar that you could "scan" on an international package. So what the hell are they scanning???
