Is it time for surgery ?

I've gotten down, way down ( from 300lbs to 185lbs and then added about 10-15 pounds of muscle mass ) BUT .. the last fat is just too difficult to get rid of, there seems to be this layer of fat that doesn't let my abs show, my love handles aren't big but they are noticeable and I have a small pouch gut. The rest of my body is fine, I only seem to gain weight or retain water around my mid section and love handles.

I just feel like it's time to look into getting that last portions of fat sucked out of me. I just can't stand making this much progress and then no matter how hard I try not being able to shave these last layers of fat off.

I have given DN* thoughts, but I really don't want to do that. Although the surgery will be expensive, at least I will finally achieve the results that I want.

What are your opinions on surgery and any other extreme methods I could use to shave this fat off.

Thanks

Ryan

Damn mojokid, I have the exact same feeling! I am 185, have done CKD, and tried just about everything to get rid of these damn love handles but they will not go, not even with yohimburn. I was thinking of doing teh surgury, but I still don't know. One small mistake by the surgeon could lead to death, even weeks or months after it seems like it all went ok. So I am still pondering it, I mean I am sick of the handles and wish i could look perfect, but then again I don't know if it's worth risking my life.

Very true, but they say that the more fat you suck out the more chance of life endangerment because your body has to deal with the sudden removal of body fat.

The way I look at it is, our world is very modern, and the techniques that doctors now are using are very safe and they've been doing these surgeries for years and years now, also the board of surgeons recommends certified surgeons who are qualified to perform the surgery.

All that said and done it still does come down to, like you said, risking your life, something may go wrong and it could affect your life, but in my situation, I'm already holding myself back because of this and I just don't feel that confident, although people tell me I look 'skinny', and I tell them i'm 200 lbs that's not skinny. I don't have a lot of fat on me, but that fat that I do have is all distributed around my gut and love handles.

It all depends on how important it is, I'm not all about vanity and I know what people say about other people getting plastic surgery, but .. this isn't about changing myself for other people, it's about changing myself for me, I fucked up when I got obese, and I know how to control it now so I never get back to where I was, I just need this last bit of help.

Well, it sounds to me like you have answered your question, and you are ready for the surgery. Let me know how it goes.:)

How long have you tried "losing that last amount of fat"? If it`s not too long, don`t give up too soon. Have you tried/looked into Yohimburn? for the love handles etc... I`m assuming you have already tried CKD. If not thats def the way to go as I see it now. Good luck to you either way.

Clen? Works great I hear. I would consider that extreme. Others may not though.

Ditto on the yohimburn, but if it isn't estrogenic fat, and is just excess fat cells that were grown when you were significantly overweight, it may or may not work. Micro... Ulter, etc. may have an informed opinion on this, mine is just from what I've read, BTW I do have a bottle of the reg and DF.

How long have you maintained the 100+ lb fat loss? If under a year, I wouldn't consider surgery or the item below. You have to make sure you can maintain your new weight before doing anything to permanently remove the fat just to have it grow back later...

If you're looking for extreme... do some research on PGF2a (aka Lutalyse, or Dinoprost some, including a certain anabolic guide misspell this as dinaprost, or Prostamate) for localized fat loss. It is one of the only things outside of lypo that actually kills fat. The sides can be quite awful, can't be used by women, and I'm not recommending it BTW. But you probably had enough fat before that you grew some new fat cells which only compounds the problem in those stubborn areas and makes maintaining or losing that last bit all the more difficult. Use of PGF2a for site injections/targeted growth seems to be viewed as not worth it by most, the sides are reported to be less for SubQ injections for fat loss though.

You can shrink fat cells until you're blue in the face, but unfortunately, you can't get rid of them once they're there. The uncoupler of oxidative phosphorylation that you mentioned in your post might shrink the fat cells further, however PGF-2a or surgery are the only means of ridding yourself of them permanently. My conscience recommends that you stick out the diet a little longer before resorting to extremes.

Lipo is major surgery, but so long as you're in the hands of a skilled, board-certified surgeon who'll be conservative in the amount of fat they suction, I'm sure you'll be fine. My neighbor had tumescent liposuction for some saddlebags that she couldn't get rid of, and she said it was like night and day after she had the surgery. The counterpoint: she also oozed Hawaiian Punch-colored anesthesia and body fluids for 10 days from the holes in the areas she had the surgery on, had to change her bandages every few hours, and was not a happy camper during that time. Again though, apart from that, night and day.

Lastly, congratulations on your weight loss. It's very hard work to lose an entire Backstreet Boy. :)
