Is it safe to fly with pins?

I have a domestic trip scheduled during my cycle. All I need to carry is a vial of test prop, which should be easy to hide, some pills, and 4 syringes plus needles. The only thing I'm worried about is how the syringes/needles will show up in the metal detector, and if they'll look for my vial if they see the syringes. Of course I'll check the bags, but they still go through metal detectors.

Help is greatly appreciated, especially based on experience.

As long as the bags are checked and not carry on luggage you should be fine. Drug dogs dont usually respond to any type of steriods, and pinz are legal in checked baggage. Hell I carry guns in my checked baggage, not much they can do about it if it's checked and declared.

I've traveled with pinz many times, just put it in your checked luggage and you'll be fine.

i know that now a days the airports are x-raying checked luggage and doing random searches on some. i had mine checked recently and when i got it at the baggage pick up it had a tag on it, that's how i knew it was searched. now if it is legal to carry pins than don't worry about it but i would think that you need a solid reason to carry them. how would one go about convincing the air line that this 18 g 1.5 needle is for slin lol.

I travel a lot and it seems like they do search checked bags by hand a moajority of the time anymore. I would put everything in your shaving kit so it could easily be mistaken for a plethoera of over the counter drops and products.

I would then by pins at a pharmacy when you land. There's no need to attract attention, and pins are cheap compared to the risk.

Yeah I know it's legal to fly with pins. My worry is that if they see the pins in the x-ray, they might be motivated to look further and find a nice vial of test prop...

The vial doesn't have any metal, so theoretically I should be able to carry it on me and go through the metal detectors, and put the pins in the luggage. What do you think?

Doesn't the vial have a metal top? Not sure its enough to raise an alarm - but most vials have some kind of metal in them - don't they?

The BD ones I use have an aluminum cover that you remove, and you are left with glass and the rubber stopper.

Just a note -

You are less likely to get your baggage checked if you book your flight in advance. I usually buy on the day of or the day before and _always_ get the full service search.
