is it really possible to split Arimidex tabs?

Hey guys...

I was thinking...the Arimidex tabs only contain 1mg of Anastrozole. That is really tiny, compared to the tab size. So I figured, there has to be a small pellet of Anastrozole somewhere inside that big tab. Now, if you were to split it, what are the chances that youre actually gonna split that little pellet inside. Afterall, the pellet could be anywhere in the tab. Even if you were to split it in half, you'd probably end up destroying most of the pellet anyway. What do you guys think? Is my theory correct? Is it just better to take 1mg/EOD instead of splitting it in half and taking it ED?

I do have a pill cutter..but thats not my point. The Arimidex tab is way bigger than 1mg. Does that mean that the 1mg of Anastrozole is evenly spread inside the tab or is it all concentrated in a little "pellet" somewhere inside the tab?

its pretty consistant thru out the whole thing if i remeber correctly as they mix it with filler and put it into the tab. it might not be an exact .5 when u cut it but it will contain an amount of anastrozole

your kidding right? Just cut in in half with a pill cutter, then you will have .5 each half. Dont forget to get all the crumbs from the half you are taking. Do you think the pill is just a covering for the medication inside, no, the med is evenly mixed throughout the pill.

Theoretically it is evenly dstributed throughout, but as Zyglamail stated a few weeks ago it is sorta like making a batch a chocolate chip cookies, when you mix it sometimes the chips get distributed evenly sometimes they don't. (I thought it was a great anaolgy). I would take it EOD since the halif life is about 50 hrs. anyway.
