Is it possible to bulk while losing body fat?

hey, im right now trying to bulk up (since i have no bulk) but cant really seem to drop below 17% body fat. i run every other and lift 6 days a week and i try to eat as many fruits as i can. the only really fatty foods i eat are for dinner be that in the form of chicken, beef, potatoes, etc. is it possible to get bigger while dropping alot of body fat (i wanna get to between 10 and 7%, ideally) or am i trying to chase down a cheetah? so will i have to bulk first and then maintain and drop fat? reason im asking is cuz i hear/read that fat is the primary fuel for your muscles (and i figure the more fuel, the easier it will be to bulk up).

Depends on how clean you bulk. Bulking doesn't always mean getting fat. If you bulk cleanly, you can actually lose bodyfat while still gaining lean mass.

just to clarify, i DO NOT want to get fat. by bulk i just mean i wanna get more muscle mass and less fat. so could you suggest foods/habits/ways of training that could help me get jacked while cutting my fat down fast? i wanna get my fat down quickly as to see more pink valleys this summer :) . thanks yall

I see a few things wrong here.
1) If you want to cut down, ditch the fruit. The fructose in it is no different than that in juices and sodas.
2) There is just about no fat in chicken.
3) If you're gonna cut up, find some lean top sirloin, london broil, or ground beef. They're all very lean kinds of beef.

You CAN gain lean muscle while dropping bodyfat, but both will be slow processes. I prefer to do one or the other. But that's me. But you say you want to get to 7-10%. I suggest you begin dieting ...

Good luck bro.

I can post a good cutting diet if you like.

Yes it's possible but I've only seen it in lifting newbies and the anabolically assisted. BTW, I'm cutting and I've dropped 14 lbs of fat and the scale hasn't moved, still 240.

Agree if youre a newbie and do it right it is possible..Try to eat fruit only after workouts otherwise try to limit them throughout the day to keep insulin in check..

I agree with the newbie thing, but I am as anabolically assisted as can be, and i have never managed to do both at the same time
