I wouldn't either....my years as a social worker tell me you will get a bad kid and will spend more on therapy than you will on the adoption....and you'll spend 20k minimum on the adoption!

I know a number of adults that are adopted and 110% normal well adjusted people. Not all adopted kids turn out to be some sort of fuck up. I have a cousin that was adopted great kid he was a normal teenager never did anything out of the relem of normal teenage misbehavour.

Don't do it. I don't think you have any idea how difficult it is to raise a child with 2 parents, let alone one.

I know the lineup for a newborn baby is like 10 miles long. And if i wanted a 12 y/o troubled colored boy from the inner-city, i'd be top of the list

but if even Angelina Jolie and Jessica Simpson can't adopt, then it's probably pointless. From what i've read, not that i'm bad - just that there's soo many couples out there wanting kids - it'd take years to get to the front.
