Is it OK to bindge eat before a cutting cycle?

I'm starting my cutting diet on Monday and I've been eating alot of slop foods recently pizza, ice cream, cookies, fried chicken, a couple of beers. My figure hasn't really changed but I figured since I'll be depriving myself all summer I may as well have fun before I start.

Is this common before cutting up?

Well if you are not doing a contest you can still enjoy these foods once every couple weeks or so...are you competeing ???
 
Nah no competing, not yet a least. This is my first cycle so I wanna do everything right, and reep the rewards of hard earned work.

I'm sure I'll slip alittle during the cycle but for the most part I wanna be strict on myself.
 
A whole summer with no ice cream.....holy shit.....dude I would die.....or more likely I would kill someone else....gotta have my Ben and Jerry's....I have a show in June.....I guess everyone's different....but I can eat that shit up to 4 weeks out.....(not very often but I can):p

Yeah Pitbull like I said, I'm sure I'll slip alittle but I don't want it to be in the first couple of weeks. If during week 5-6 I feel like some rocky road I may have a small serving but for the most part keep it clean.
 
i ate a whole ben and jerry's cookie dough pint the other night. what is that? 1200 calories? lol. :p
 
Ok now for a serious answer....NO it is not ok...if you are as serious as you say you are.....about being strict throughout the cycle....then there is no reason to carb up before a cutting cycle.....you are just going to make the desired results harder to obtain......however slipping throughout the cycle is key....it helps to spike metabolism levels......Diet... Training/Cardio...Metabolism...all three very important quotients in a cutting cycle......:D
 
i have cut with cheat days the past 3 cutting seasons. This season I have went 7 weeks without a cheat day, not even a cheat meal, and the difference is amazing.
 
cheat days blow you up big time, fill glycogen stores and stoke the metabolism. i don't care what anyone says on this, i know from experience. just keep them to every 10 days or so.

just don't go TOO apeshit with it. you really can't though with just one day, only so many hours in the day. :D

It damn sure will not hurt your progress if you have a cheat meal evey couple weeks or so....Porter Cottrell and several other pro's and some local competitors that I have met... all Have a cheat meal once a week until about 3 weeks prior to the day of the show...And they all say it keeps them bigger and leaner

Exactly....every 7-10 days or so.....a cheat meal....don't blow it up all day....that can hurt ya.....but all of this depends on the individual......I cheat every Sunday.....usually start the morning with some Krispy Kreme....and that bloats me until dinner....protein shakes in between...and then a big ass cheat dinner....usually mexican....or pizza....but like I said it depends on the individual....either a meal or a day....you will know how your body reacts......I GROW LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER on Monday and Tuesday.......:p

the more crap you eat now, the harder it will be to kick the habit later
