Some times on Saturday mornings I like to work out soon after I wake up. Glycogen levels are low when you first wake and if I eat something, like oatbran or brown rice, to get some glucose\glycogen going, it will be atleast 2 hours before it's digested and available for use as energy. On these days, I will sometimes have some maltodextrim about 30-45 mins pre workout. Do you guys think thats OK?
I also take it sometimes if I feel I need more fuel for the work out (like if I haven't had any carbs in more than 4 hours).
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
