Is it easier for you to ..........

open up to a complete stranger rather than family or friends? Have you ever found yourself telling your problems to someone you just met or hardly know? I have. Seems like it happens here often. I wonder why. Is it cuz they offer an unbiased opinion? Any thoughts?

I agree, I can pour out my heart to people I don't know so much easier then to someone I know. There is a truth to the "kindness of strangers".

I think family memeberswhen we try to tell them about our problems, they let it go in one ear and out the other its like there not realy listing to us..:( but friends and strangers, even miles away can relate more to everyday problems we all go through:bawling:

Sometimes when I talk to a stranger it seems like Ive known them forever. Then they are gone.

its easier for me to type shit like that. opening up, i rarely do. not to family nor friends. i tend to stay bottled up and keep my problems to myself. then again, i dont create many problems for myself either. i tend to let the water roll off my back very easily so i dont catch hangups.

I prefer not to really open up about stuff period. Life is much easier when I am the only one that knows what I am thinking or going through. Or at least, if it's not easier, it's less complicated.

I find I am too open and tell everyone everything.

I have nothing to hide, so why not.

I do have to learn to keep my big mouth shut sometimes though.

Maybe I have some weird form of Tourettes'.

:o

I feel its because people in person can judge you and you can read there body language. and sure someone can judge you ya dont know but who the fuck are they, you just used them to get shit off your chest right.

however I feel I have made a few great friends on this board who dont apply to above and I treat them as I would people in person.
