Is Gamecube already dead?

It seems like Nintendo purposely gave XBox and PS2 the entire market for the holiday season.

Commercial after commercial for XBox and PS2 and I see nothing about Gamecube.

Can they really compete against these DVD superpowers or is this the end for Mario and friends?

Personally, I think Atari should bring the 2600 model back to the market....

I'm all about anything that has steroids in the title. Besides, 2600 was popular with women and the gay community due to the phallic-like controllers.

I heard atari wants to get back into the hardware market, and as soon as they achieve enough capital they may give it a shot.........I'd rather see them as the "american entrant" into the market instead of MS. They'd be the american Sega.

nintendo has said that gamecube is directed at a younger audience.....8-15 yr olds i guess.
the other two consoles are for a more mature audience, and nintendo expects to do well during christmas.
