Is Fix-A-Flat any good?

PICK3

New member
No tire repair shops open in my area so I pulled out the roofing nail and used Fix-A-Flat. Seems to be holding up well so far.

Yeah but its only supposed to get your tire to last till you get to a service station to get it plugged
although it has been used to keep tires going and going and going for someone that couldnt afford to get new tires lol

Thanks, if it leaks I'll fix it with another can of Fix-A-Flat. ;)

Not running around with that little doughnut spare.

prolly ok unless you want to change the tire on the wheel itself. i heard it makes a fucking mess on the rim and in the tire

yea it works pretty well , shouldve left the nail in the tire though

Could be a few more days before a tire repair shop opens around here that's not really crowded.

dude, I wouldnt ride around on that shit much longer, I used it, car start drifting, and everything. then if they take ur tire off the rim, tell them u used it, if not that shit will spray everywhere

I used it on a tire for about a year in my early 20s. I used the last can about an hour before I sold the truck.

go to pep boys or r and s strauss and by a plug kit...you know where the hole is and plug it up....thats what the garage is gonna charge you 15 or 20$ for and the kit is only like $8 and will last you forever...easy as hell to do...and if the hole is on the outer part of the tread you dont have to remove the wheel from the car....

I keep two cans in the jeep at all times. NOTE: when you get the tire fixed TELL THE MECHANIC that you used FIX A FLAT. That shit is hella flamable and you gotta be careful in the shop when you pop it off the rim.

I keep that & fix a flat in all my vehicles,If you have good tires you might want to get it fixed tho as the buildup of the sealant will throw the tire out of balance and cause wear over the long term.

You beat me to it. But it bears repeating.

As common as Fix-A-Flat is you would think that someone who changes/repairs tires for a living would be prepared for it.

That's what I was going to say...change that tire ASAP!!! that shit was made to let you get to a service station or home. That shit is like an acid. It will virtually eat your rim and tire
