Is Bill Roberts Wrong?

I was reading about Clomid on the Meso-Rx web site and from what I gathered, the writer (Bill Roberts) seemed to favor Clomid over Nolvadex to use as an anti-estrogenic during a cycle. But most threads I've read on this board seem to only see Clomid as useful for post cycle therapy. If I have ready access to cheap Clomid, would it be a mistake to use during a cycle, and not just afterward? If not, why? Thanks.

I think Nolvadex or Arimidex is a better anti-e, but many people seem to like clomid. I used it once in a pinch when I had some nipple soreness on a heavy test cycle, but I would have preferred nolva or arimidex.

If you have a lot of it go for it and use it after the cycle as well.

I was reading a lot of abstracts today on this very issue and found some interesting things. Im just going off the top of my head so some numbers may be a bit off. One cited they both had approx the same binding affinity to the ER receptor. Another pointed out it took something like 160mg/ed dose of clomid to do the same job (in regards to blocking estrogen) as would take like 20mg nolva. Another stated nolva reduced GH output by the body and may be one reason nolva seems to have a negative impact on gains.

All in all, I would not use either during a cycle. I would much rather use anastrozole.

ActuallY i dont have links. I have read in the neighbor hood of 1000 abstracts today and to be honest its all getting fuzzy:) My goal is to pick ones that contain data specific to the iron community. Specifically dosage needed for maximim estrogen blockage, how LH/FSH levels are affected as well as other hormones(ie like the nolva lowering GH output) etc etc etc. You can rest assured I will share my findings when I get it compiled in an orderly fashion.

Zyg is correct, I remember reading something similar. Nolvadex has better ER binding but its influence on GH and IGF-1 levels make is a poor choice to use as your only anti-e.
