Is anyone moving this year?

I am so fucking sick of Atlanta. I want to move. Badly. My fiance can run her business basically from anywhere and I know I can easily find work as well.

But I do have a young child that is very attached to my mother. (not his mother, but mine)

Atlanta was just ranked number 3 in the highest crime. Compton was further down the list than Atlanta.

Also, it has become a very shitty city overall. Right now, my fiance has residences in NYC and Ft Lauderdale (and London, but that is out of the question.)

What is the West Coast like nowdays? Are schools out there any good. (Elementry schools)

California just got raped because of all the cuts gray davis is doing in the coming years, and this is across the school board(elementary through the universities). I am not into politics, but when I read this on the paper, I was like wtf?! do a search on gray davis and his cuts for the california deficit. otherwise, down where I live, san diego is expensive, but nice to live in. this old adage comes ot mind: you get what you pay for

California is a communist pile of dog shit. Just my opinion. Way to liberal and anti-gun for my tastes. Way high rents, no affordable property and ugly women. Thats right, ugly women- you heard right. Go to Texas or Florida or NYC and you'll see some good looking chicks. LA doesn't count- its like its own little cesspool country.

What do you want out of your life? That will decide where you move. I would say check FL or the Raleigh area.

I moved here to San Diego thinking California was "cool". Ha, what a joke that is. It is stuck in 1994. Just look at Supernav, he looks like he is in 1994 or somewhere around there- ha. Sorry, Nav- had to bust your balls over the LA being "beautiful" comment.

I am moving to Phoenix- at least its affordable. Then I am buying some property in Sydney when I can afford to.

Well...at the moment I am looking at Texas, Greece, or getting my Masters....

I'm searching for a Cozy spot in a desert...Maybe Saudi, or Kuwait but it's only tempory....I'll be looking for a more perm. spot in Baghdad

God willing by the end of next year I will be back in or preparing to go to school in Texas

I have a Masters Degree and work as an Oracle DBA / Business Analyst now. So I can pretty much find work.

I have a fiance, so I am not worried about being somewhere with ugly women.

She has a residence in NYC, but I am worried about the quality of schools for my son. I would prefer NYC for myself, but I have to think of others.

We could just as easily move to Ft Lauderdale as well, she has a business and residence there as well. But Florida is the at the bottom of the barrel in terms of education. It is ranked 48th or 49th in quality of schools among the 50 states.

Both the residences in NYC and FL are in high rise penthouses, so it is not exactly like we will have a backyard. Which I like. In FL, the ocean is at our backdoor and in NYC Central park is directly across the street.

So....... what options are there? I am just restless right now and just really fed up with the same old bullshit from Atlanta.

Now you see why I left?

Denise can afford to live anywhere, do you job in the bedroom and get her to move.
