i think when people don't recognize that there are alternative ways of seeing things... ie: christianity isn't maybe always right, etc... then i think that's ignorant. to believe what you think to be the only truth is just not a good way to live... of course i'm just saying what i just wrote and it seems contradictory...

Why? Because of the insular, wonderbread US culture that they were raised in. The same mainstream, homogenized culture that frowns upon outside influences and progressive ideas. That's why.
