IPOD problem -

My ipod wont go on, even after charging it. I tried putting some new songs that I have on my Itunes, I connected it and the apple symbol came up on the screen and nothing happened, Itunes didnt recognize that it was connecting(it does this auotmatically) I reseted the ipod and now nothing comes up. Any idea's?

reset it again. move the hold button back and forth a few times then simultaneously press/hold play and the center button...or maybe its menu.
