Involuntary muscle spasms

Ok so I'm natty right now and have been for the last 4 months I'm up to 198.41lbs and I'm stronger now than I was on cycle due to training hard and eating well. I'm starting my new cycle in January although I'm in two minds right now whether or not I should jump on a cycle when I'm making so much progress natty lol

The last 2 days I have been getting muscle spasms in my arms, no pain just weird muscle spasms. Mostly when relaxing at home between work and gym(which is basically all I have been doing for the last year non stop)

Is this possibly due to an increase in muscle mass in my arms?
Is it overworked muscle reaction?
Or are my muscles craving exercise?

All posts much appreciated 😃

could be about 1000 things give or take.. here are some of the more likely and easy to correct issues

drink 1.5 gallons of water
take in 'enough' quality carbs
take in enough sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, zinc
eat your fruit and veggies
warm up properly
cool down properly

My water intake is good I take my multivits everyday a large range of diff vitamins and oils etc I eat bananas like a damn monkey and have broccoli green beans spinach cabbage every day at least twice.

Warm ups are normally light rotator cuff exercises or stretches+5 mins on the punch bag.
Warm down normally whatever muscle group I'm doing ligh/no weight exercises with high reps.

I have had to have 6 weeks of Acupuncture in the past due to extensive hypertrophy in my lower back whilst doing gymnastics, not saying yours is related, there's a lot of variables. But might be worth a visit to your G.P.

Is it painful at all? If so this is normally a sign of strain or overworking a muscle.

If it's more of a twitch, is it straight after excersise? Because if it's directly after a session it could be lactic build up, dehydration, generally just because you've been working it.

If it isn't causing you any pain, i wouldn't worry to much.

Only thing i'd recommend is more rest can never hurt, maybe give that muscle group a miss for the next due session (if your worried).
And stay hydrated! Good luck

I will up my water intake and see if that stops it. Thanks guys

One thing I will say is ever since my last cycle when I sleep I wake up with numb hands. I think it must be due to the fact I weigh a lot more now and when lying on my side I cut off blud circulation to my hands.

I also get woke up by my fiancé cause when I turn over she says it feels like she is going to get bounced out of the bed lol
She even said she's scared I might roll over on top of her and suffocate her in the night wtf made me laugh like hell

Haha one thing to remember, bodies are way more durable than people let on. If it feels minor normally it is. Keep an eye on it though. If it causes problems or pain there's no harm in seeing your gp. But that bed thing is normal, but funny :)

have you ever done any foam rolling or self myofascial release?

time to start googling.. great way to warm up.. and great way to help keep your muscles in good shape.

basically you buy a big foam roller.. you can also use a 2 liter bottle of a lacrosse ball. and you roll back and forth across the muscle.

Just googled it and watched a couple YouTube vidz on it.
I'll defo try it out man thanks

Lol. My muscles do that from time to time while I'm just chillin. Its a little twitchy spasm thing. Annoying as hell ain't it? And it seems like it will never stop. Definitely noticeable. I don't worry about it. It has something to do with motor units in the muscle and the nervous system. I'd guess it's your body telling you not to be lazy. At least that's how I feel lol. I never notice it until I relax like after a good workout or run.
