Hey all! I am relatively new to the board. I posted a couple of times last year.
Anyhoo, everyone can call me Boomer...as I'm a huge OU fan.
I spend five years in the Navy down in MS. The majority of our time was spent patrolling the Caribbean, so I got to hit some "juiced" ports if you know what I mean.
I was a workout machine in the military and had a good buddy who played college ball, so he put me through some intense workouts. He introduced me to the "game" and it was very addictive and euphoric. I'm 5'10" and at one point I was up to 190 at around 10% BF. I was working out 1.5-2 hours a day about an hour on weights and 45 on cardio.
Unfortunately, I got out of the military and went to college...I maintained my physique for awhile, but now I've hit 30 and it seems like everything has gone to hell quickly. So, my hope is that some of you "young bucks" and "vets of the game" can help me get back to my old self. The biggest obstacle that I foresee is time. Anyway, I hope to learn from you guys and any help would be appreciated.
Question: When dieting is it common to actually feel bloated and fatter the first couple of days into the diet? I would presume yes since your body is storing fat to make up for the lost caloric intake...is this correct?
My post-military stats: 5'10", 215 lbs., BF-22% --- I have a lot of work to do...
