Interracial.......where do you stand?

First, a little background. My father was about as hardcore as a white man could get. Construction worker, hard drinker, and a fighter. He had black acquaintances, but never considered them to be equal to him, and quite freqently spoke the word "nigger" in public without even a hitch.

I grew up having several friends, of which two were black, and incidentally turned out to be some of the best friends I've ever had. We had some good times together, and I trusted them a great deal. We also played alot of roundball, of which I attribute my "noncaucasian" style of basketball to. And these guys would back me up in situations where I was the only white guy there.

That's a bond you don't just forget.

But, what does everyone think here about having your daughter potentially date a black man? And there again, as I've explained, it's not really color that depicts a man's character. But, are you willing to give up your "blood line" that easily? And kids today have enough confusion, now they have to live with being rejected by the whites AND the blacks?

It's a tough call.

Love is hard enough to find without putting limitations on it. If he was a gentleman, then I'd have no problem with it. If he acted like a homeboy though, I'd give him the Al Bundy treatment, where he bounces the guys face off the doorway before he launches him out the door head first.

breeding outside your bloodline gives you less chance of recessive genes surfacing.

My daughter will marry a white man. There is nothing to discuss. I have black friends and even work for a black foreman, however she will not date outside her race. BTW, the comment about mutts being better dogs is rediculous. It weakens the bloodline. I have pure pit bull terriers and believe that all bloodlines should be protected so the qualities that the breed was originally developed for are passed on.
