I normally do not advocate things like these, but I feel that I must. I would like to warn all of you against EVER buying ANY product made by Interact Accessories. Their service is shit, their products are shit, and their items are highly overpriced. I use to turn to Interact Accessories as a place to buy high quality accessories, but recent events have shaken my confidence in them tremendously. Pelican Accessories, a competing accessory company, sells items at better prices with much better quality and service. If you want to save a lot of time and frustration, I would highly recommend buying your accessories from Pelican Accessories instead of Interact Accessories.

My reasons for this warning are very simple. First I had bought a Hammerhead FX paddle from Interact Accessories for my computer. It had worked fine, for about a week, at which time the POV stick broke and I was forced to return it. I had opted for the same product again, as I had a lot of faith in Interact Accessories. My next Hammerhead FX paddle was cracked, and the store would not take it back. I had to call Interact Accessories for a replacement. They replaced my paddle without me even returning my cracked one. However, the paddle they replaced it with did not work. I was forced to buy yet another Hammerhead FX for $39.99 which finally worked. About a month later Interact Accessories announced it would no longer support the Hammerhead FX paddle with the Windows XP release coming up shortly. I upgraded to Windows XP where Hammerhead FX was not supported and would not be supported. Once again was left with a useless paddle. I went through four Hammer FX paddles and $80, not including the time and frustration it cost me, to be left with nothing but a desk decoration.

My next brush with Interact Accessories really irked me. I had been playing through the Playstation RPG “Final Fantasy XIII,” which mind you was a very frustrating game with a lot of micromanagement, using the Interact Accessories Playstation Memory Card. I had neared the end of the game when I decided to take a break. Later when I tried to pick up where I left off, I found that every single one of my Playstation saves on the Interact Accessories Playstation Memory Card were gone, the memory card had corrupted. I lost hours of game play and still have not finished “Final Fantasy XIII.” I have not even played my Playstation since this incident.

Later I decided to purchase a GlowGuard for my GameBoy Advance. Interact Accessories promised “Non-glare light and protection for your screen.” I had hope that this product would work as advertised, as the GBA has no backlit. Well, when I put the GlowGuard on then closed it, it CRACKED my GameBoy Advance screen. I had to return the GlowGuard for a better product and I also had to purchase a new GameBoy Advance screen. Some protection…

Once again I would just like to warn all of you against purchasing any Interact Accessories product. Save your time, money, and nerves by purchasing from a company who’s products actually live up to their expectations.

I've had some problems with Interact's stuff myself. They make the GameShark and Sharkport for the PS2. You need a boot cd for both of them and it usually takes one or two tries for the ps2 to even recognize the cd's. The GameShark goes into the first memory slot and the ps2 won't recognize it a lot of times. The gameshark will be working fine and the next thing you know it says to insert the GameShark, then you have to go yank it out and reinsert it. The SharkPort is a utility for transferring saves and GS codes back and forth between your PC and memory card. Which basically means you virtually have "unlimited" room to store PS2 saves on your HDD. I'm still happy with the products despite the minor problems i encountered. It does what it claims to in the end and I have to give them some slack considering they are a 3rd party developer hacking the ps2 and saving me money by not needing any additional memory cards for my saves.

As far as memory cards go, I recommend going with MadKatz. They're cheaper than the sony ones by about $15 and although they store the same capacity, they access the data much faster than the Sony card. I can also recommend the MadKatz dual shock controller. They have a bunch of cool transparent colors to choose from, steel braided reinforced cables, and 7 foot cord legnth is standard. They also have some nice grips on the part you hold onto it. Another cool feature is a macro button for the tedius button jamming games. They only run $20 compared to the $35 Sony Dual Shock 2. I've yet to experience any quality problems with their stuff.
