Intense Itching....PEASE HELP

TNH

New member
I have the most INTENSE itching going on all over my body anytime that my body temp starts to rise. Just a 10 minute walk in hot weather makes me start to itch, until I break into a sweat, and then I am fine. Its more than an itch....it feels like your entire body is covered with bugs, and they are ALL biting you over and over again.

There has to be something I can do about this. It interferes with my daily life......walking around can be miserable. I freak out and stand in front of any fan that I can find for temporary relief.

I've read that its caused by overproductive subaceous glands, which cause something to crystallize in your pores? I think I read that here somewhere. Then when you sweat, the itching comes.

Would accutane solve my problem? It damages the subaceous glands, so maybe I could dry myself out and keep the pores open. What do you guys think? I desperately need to do something soon.

I am no doctor but is sounds to me like some type of allergic reaction..I got ambushed by a bunch of fuckin bumble bees a few years ago and after being stung several times my skin began to itch very badly and I broke out in rash..my point is that I had an allergic reaction to the toxins which they stung me with ..if I were you I would see a doctor and quit taking whatever you are taking..hope this helps..

I get that on test, it feels like you're getting stuck by cactus all over when you heat up. It will eventually get better as your body gets used to the high test levels. It did for me and now I rarely get that anymore. If you're not on test then I don't know what it is and you can disregard this post. :)

Are you taking any niacin or products which contain it ? This could be the cause.

You could be de hydrated and or have a sodium deficiency.

If none of the above are the cause, then I would try an otc allergy med to see if its an external cause, benedryl (sp) would be an easy indicator.

almost the same shit happens to me but by thy way it sounds yours is worse! it happens to me when i take niacin i get red, rashey and itchy maybe that could be it do you take niacin?

I have the same problem bro, I don't know what causes it, but it does seem to happen when I'm on test. I was wondering if it had anything to do with dry skin. I feel your pain....

It happens to me fairly often even when I am not on anything. I have naturally oily skin, so anytime I get warm, I feel the itch. It is really unbearable when I am on test. EQ was by far the worst for me, I will never try it again because of the insane ithciness that it caused for me. EQ is known for causing oily skin, which is another reason that I am convinced that this has something to do with subaceous glands and oil production.

I do not take any niacin products. I have an extrememly high natural body temperature, you'll see me in shorts and a T-shirt driving with the windows down when its 50 degrees out.

M.O.D.- funny that you say that, becuase there is some mind over matter involved in this. When I anticipate the itch coming on, I get really nervous and the intensity of the stinging becomes unbareable. If the subaceous glands are responsible for this, then I think that my nervousness (anticipation of the itch) leads to more sweating, which then leads to intense itching and stinging for a short period.

I think I am going to try the accutane, even it doesn't help the itch, my skin could use a little clearing up.

Thanks for the replies

ANTI-HISTAMINE WILL CURE YOU OF ITCH

HEY I HAD THE SAME THING ON THE SAME STUFF!!!

ITS HIVES
YOU CANT STOP THE BUMPS BUT YOU CAN STOP THE ITCHING GO AND BUY ANITIHISTAMIN FROM THE STORE. TAKE THEM EVERY 4 HOURS. I BROKE OUT ABOUT EVERY 24 HOURS SO I TOOK THEM WHEN I NEW IT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN.

ONCE YOUR OFF TESS IT WILL GO AWAY BUT WOW IT WAS ITCHY. YOUR SKIN IS AN ORGAN AND ITS SENATIVE. SO YOU MIGHT WANT TO CUT YOUR DOSAGE DOWN . MY HIVES WERE AS BIG AS QUARTERS, ELBOWS, CHEST, KNEES ANKLES.

CREAMS WILL NOT HELP, ITS ALL ABOUT YOUR HISTAMIN LEVELS GOING WACKY ,

That sounds similar to what 've experienced in the past while running. It has been happening long before I ever tried AS. Anytime I did anything that would get my heart rate up, I'd start itching like hell all over. Finally I found a doctor that had the same prob as me & she had an explanation for me. I thought it might be a circulatin problem. In my case it is the fact that some people's nerves are closer to blood vessels than others. So, when you're heart rate/blood pressure goes up it expands your veins and they irritate the nerves. When it was happening to me, I'd continue running & try to just block it out and then after a while it would go away & as long as I ran on a daily basis it would not bother me. If I quit for a few weeks then, I'd have to go through it again. I had no hives or bumps or anything like that, I'd just get hot & blotchy looking & my skin would get red as hell. I don't know if this applies to you or not but, I thought I'd offer my $.02

I found this in the archives from a guy named Jackyl :

Jackyl said:
You know that test stimulates sebaceous gland production of sweat and hair follicles during a cycle. When your hot and sweating your glands overproduce big time and when you cool down it crystalizes in your pores. When you begin to heat up again (afternoon workout) your pores are stopped up and it causes incredible itching. A quick relief is stand in front of a fan or AC. The way to get rid of it is stand under a very hot shower for about 20 minutes to open up the pores melt the built up salt.
This is where I got the idea about sebaceous glands and oil production. I have naturally oily skin, on and off cycle......I experience this intense itching whether I am on gear or not. The reason I agree with this Jackyl guy is becuase he is right on when he says quick relief is to stand in front of a fan or take a hot shower. The only problem is that it never goes below fricking 90 degrees over here, so I start to warm up and sweat as soon as I step out of the shower. To top it all off, my skin doesnt react well to any kind of soap, and I get itchy from that too.

I am going to try some accutane to see if I can stop the sebaceous glands from being stimulated. I hope this works. Thanks for all the replies everyone.

I had the same problem when I finished my cycle and was on Clomid. Sometimes it was painful especailly when I would take a shower.

CAUSES

Prickly heat appears when the sweat-gland ducts become obstructed.

Poor hygiene.

Hot, humid weather.

Obesity.

Genetically inherited.

Over activity during hot weather.

Wearing polyester or lycra while exercising in warm weather.

Allergies to deodorants or antiperspirants.

TREATMENTS

Prickly heat is curable. A combination of preventative measures and immediate treatment ensure quick recovery.

STEROID creams and ointments containing hydrocortisone should be applied 3-times daily to rash to relieve itching and irritation.

COOL showers or baths will help to keep itching under control and cleanse the skin.

BATHING in oatmeal mixes or with oatmeal soaps will stop itching and speed healing.

EXPOSE the rash to as much fresh air as possible. Never cover with bandages or tight clothing.

DRAWING ointments will aid in cleaning out areas which have blistered.

ANTI-ITCH medications, such as Benadryl, are helpful for those suffering chronic prickly heat.

ALOE VERA lotions will stop excessive itching

thanks LONE_AZ,

I am going to go buy some Benadryl and see if I can solve this problem. I hope it works.
