Intense Headaches during Workout

Over the past few weeks I have been getting intense headaches during my workouts. I usually do about 4 - 5 lifts and after the first lift it starts. I was wondering if anyone had expierenced this before or knows what is happening. One thing that I noticed the past two times it happened is that I ate a meal probably 20 - 30 mins. before I started my workout. I don't know if this has anything to do with it or not.
 
Is it a pounding headache? Are you on cycle?

I use to experience the same thing. I basicly was getting vascular migraines when I did any sort of physical exertion. It got so bad, I could do something so simple as jump and I could feel my head throb.

I talked to my doctor about it and he prescribed me Topamax. 3 years later, I'm still cycling, still taking Topamax, but I've had no more problems with the headaches.
 
Any headache with a heavy lift/Valsalva maneuver should be evaluated by a physician. It could be a tension headache or a migraine, but it could also be an early sign of an aneurysm or AVM. 10% of the population have them, and you don't want to be the unlucky guy who pops one while squatting 400+ pounds.
