Think of why you would want to use it after cardio. When doing cardio, you generally want to deplete your glycogen to encourage use of bodyfat for fuel, and remain in a fat-burning state. Insulin stops fat-burning and promotes fat-storage. Kind of counter-productive.
 
I only use it post-workout when I lift. If I don't hit the weights, I don't use it. Ohashi gave you a great explanation of why not.
 
i used it post workout only- humalog (NOT humulin), and only for 4 weeks at a time. REALLY helps w/ recovery. if you use it daily- chances are you will have at least some fat accumulation

There will be no fat gain as long as you eat virtually fat free during the active period of the slin. Humilin R is active for about 4 hours. So eat high carbs, mod protein, and no fat during this period.

Stays active between 6-8 hrs.....I used to think that as well until I read the insert.
