insulin spikes on non-workout days?

Hi.
Quick question:
Do i need insulin spikes on non-workout days as well or just on workout days right after workout? If yes, when do i need them on non-workout days?

Two scoops of whey concentrate (any chocholate flavor will do) along with one of the small packets of chocolate instant pie filling.

It can also be useful to have an insulin spike first thing in morning after you wake up. Not as useful as post-workout but it will help
