Insulin: is there any risk/benefit to using more than 10 IU's?

Risk: much easier to get fat, I am living proof of this.
Benefits: much more accelerated weight gain.

I put on 2inches+ on my arms in 2months or so with insulin (no anabolics were used), but also put on a good few inches on my waist. Is it worth it? Prob. not again, unless I find that I am struggling with gaining weight.

Also to note, I did very high amounts of insulin to get those kinds of benefits/fat gain.

Interesting. were you using humalog? did you only use post workout? did you follow the proper diet procedures (10g carbs per IU, zero fat, etc)?

10iu per injection is plenty with Humalog. It's too quick for bigger doses to do much except make you hypoglycemic.
Bigger doses with the slow insulins will yield better results if you can keep up a correct diet throughout the day.
 
Try "N". All day timed release with no peaks and valleys, as long as you eat correctly every couple hours.

Yes, i've run both humalog and humalin R, most of my higher dosages were with R though. I used it every possible way you can imagine, as much as 3times a day.
