Insulin During Precontest Dieting?

Will be training for a few contests here very soon. Already have my cycle and plans pretty much laid out and taken care of except for one burning question. Will be taking HGH, T3, Clen & DNP off and on, Anti-E's, on top of the AAS. I was just curious as to if anyone has ever successfully incorporated Humulin-R into their precontest routine and still shredded up to contest condition w/o a problem. I was thinking about a few units right after a workout before my highest carb meal of the day, or when carb meals are finally cut down to just vegetables using a few units before carb up nights. Just wanted to know if anybody has any input on this. Thinking it would keep me stronger, thicker, fuller, and hopefully still be able to lean out. But, I also think maybe it would keep me from getting that ultimate shredded and wicked look. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Doing it right now, but stopped last week (2 weeks out from photo shoot). I used a variation of Mr X's mkd though, so didn't eat carbs with the insulin. I used it to stay in ketosis while getting a heavy protien load once a day from whey isolate. Go to the diet board for the sticky on mkd's.

how much muscle did you put on?

using humilin r while cutting up is good right after the workout...i do 10 iu's take in 3/4 bag of brown rice, 100 gram protein shake with , 1/3 of cherry pie filling, 2grms of glutamine, 10 grms of creatine... ......the last week before the show dont use the insulin when u carb deplete, use it when you carb load...example...thursday before show...take in 1 medimun baked potatoe 50 grms of carbs...insulin is no more than 4 iu's.....continue your protein intake through out the day, next small carb meal..again 50 grams....no more than 4 iu's insulin....and so on....this should fill u out, if you feel hypo take a couple glucose tabs to level u out....this works well for me and keeps me full and still in ketosis...remember to restrict your water intake to only as much as u pee out the last couple days, and no sodium until friday, and only 1 meals worth with little or no water if you can...this will allow the muscles to suck in the remainng water into the muscles with the carbs to keep u full looking......you might want to test you blood sugar through out the last few days also to monitor it so u dont go to low...

I've been experimenting with Humalog recently. I've taken 5iu's, quite regularly, with no carbs at all. If you're in tune with your body and know when you're going hypo, and how to combat it if it occurs, you should be okay.

I also was wondering something similar. If VERY LOW carb diet before contest, THEN on your carb up a couple of days before the contest, would Insulin be a good fit with the carb up?

insulin is a good fit with the carb up for those couple days. but remember small carb meals....50grams at a time, and no more than 5 iu's of insulin and monitor how u feel...you may need more carbs to level u out

No I did not go hypo. It does not require a great deal of insulin to increase protien synthesis in the muscle cells. You use small amount of insulin (I used 5 iu's of humalin-r) with whey isolate in order to increase protien synthesis and help keep a positive nitrogen balance while dieting ona low carb diet. If you injest too much protien at once you will go out of ketosis, thus ruining your diet. The insulin will keep your blood sugar levels very low so that you avoid the blood sugar spike normally assosiated with taking a fast absorbing protien such as whey. You can get half of your protien for the day all at one time, create a more anabolic environment and stay in ketosis so that you continue to burn bodyfat. This type of diet is not for first-time insulin users and is pretty hardcore. Its dangerous and you feel like shit, but it does allow for rapid fat loss while eitehr maintaining or gaining some lbm. This is not something that I'm advocating or telling anyone to do, so if you read this, think its a good idea and then do it wrong and die, don't blame me.
