Insulin Dosage Question.

Asuming that 10iu's are the recommended dose for Humulin-R-where exactly is that on a standard 1cc 29 guage Insulin Pin? I assumed that the plunger is drawn back to the 10 on that particular brand of pin but I wanted to make sure, as that whole HGH UI/IU/MGS scale thing has had my head spinning for friggin months. Thanks in advance

Yes, the "10" mark, or 1/10 of a cc/ml. The same amount of GH drawn in the same insulin syringe would be approximately one-half a cc/ml, so it's good to double check. If you reverse the two, in confusion you would inject 50iu's insulin.....lights out!
Are you going to use 10iu right off, for the first time? If so, you might want to start at 4 or 5iu and work up, just to see how you react to humulin-r. If you don't get the carbs right for 4 hours after injecting, you will get a hypoglcemic reaction that can be a bit unsettling. It's happened to me a couple of times in awkward places.........nothing like running for sugar to stuff down while visiting "straights".
So how have you been kk? You are no novice to this stuff, are you? Hey, send me a mail sometime with the news.

Am I a novice to Gear? No. Insulin use--eh that's a slightly different story. I DID actually try it one time brother, but that was SOOO damn long ago(like 8 years) that I can't for the life of me remember how it was done. I just wanted to get that IUs thing straight in my head before I went ahead and even ordered the stuff ya know?! Anyhow, that's the precise advice I was looking for, & it should go fine assuming that I get my Carbs right. I believe at the time I last used 'Slin, the overwhelming theory on Carb intake was to try to time them approx. 15 minutes after you did the 'Slin injection. I usually never had any problems, but I did experience a "situation" once that was more than a tad scarey, that was enough to put me off of it until I could feel more comfortable with what I was doing and the science behind it. I think that at that time, 'Slin was just coming onto the scene as far as being recognized as an Anabolic "aid" and thus the actual practice behind the theory was rather juevenille to say the least. We'll see.

if your pins are truly insulin pins, and they're labeled "U-100", then they are already calibrated to match the units on all insulins.

Read your label, chances are they are U-100needles.'

If not, I'd make life simple and go to the needlestore and buy a bunch of U-100 needles.

therefore it's a no brainer--"10"= 10 units, etc.

Hope that helps.

Makes sense to me brother. Much appreciated!
