Here is an inspirational story to take you all into the weekend...
It is 100% true. The guy in it is a friend of our boss we met on a business trip... It is not on the chat board cause we all know how it is over there, and besides, I thought the peeps here in the training board would get more out of it....

Anyway, this guy is talking to a long time business friend of his, and the conversation turns to football as it so often has. The friend asks who his favorite player all-time was and the guy says "Well ever since I was a kid, I always thought John Unitas was the best ever"
Anyway, the friend says "Wow really, hey, did I ever tell you I live next door to him"
This of course totally catches the guy off-guard as he has know his friend for year and figures that is something you would definatley tell someone....
Anyway, the friend is like "yeah for real."
"Wow" is all the guy can think. Then he thinks "Hey could you ask him a question for me next time you see him?"
"Sure" says the friend
Well the guy says describes a famous play where Unitas is passing to John Mackey at the close of the game (note: I think it was the closing seconds an overtime game for the 1958 championship against the Giants) Well the story goes that Unitas threw the ball to Mackey in the closing seconds, but Mackey dropped the ball in the endzone.... There was still time for one more play however and in the huddle supposedly, Unitas says "same play, this time catch the ball" Well they go back and line up, hike the ball, Unitas throws and Mackey catches. They win the game. That was the strenght of Unitas' leadership ability...
"OK" says the friend.
"I want to know if it really happened like that" says the guy.
"Sure I will ask him" says the friend.
Anyway, a couple weeks later, the guy has not heard from the friend. Then one morning he sees on the news that John Unitas died. "Well" he says to himself, "now I guess I will never know" Coincidentally, that afternoon a package arrives. It is from his friend.
There is no note from his friend. But in the package is a football. He pulls it out and looks at it. It says "Same play, this time, catch the ball. John Unitas" It was probably one of the last things ever signed by Unitas, and one of his last communications.
Well not everyone can be a John Unitas, or so a lot of people think. But this same guy also coaches a little league team. He loves coaching the kids, and they like playing for him, but as you would expect, some kids are good, some kids are not so good. Well he had this one kid that was awful. He had heard about the kid when they were aligning the teams, supposedly he was terrible and whoever got him woudl just have to deal with it. The guy tried his best to help him get better, also the kid tried hard, so the guy would play him as much as he could, and always tried to encourage him, but the kid struck out everytime he was at the plate, it was hard to watch. In the last game of the year, the kid got in in the last inning. It was a full count, and the kid got the pitch and swung, the ball dribbled through the infield, the kid ran as fast as he could, and just beat out the throw to first base. Everyone was so excited they all ran out on the field and were high fiving him and celebrating etc (even though the game was not even over)
Anyway after the season, one day the guy got a letter in the mail. It was from the kid. It said, "Dear Mr. ____, I really liked to play baseball this year on your team. You made me feel like I could do anything. You made me feel like I was a winner. Thank you for being my coach. " (The guy was balling his head off even when retelling us this story, and if you aren't you are much tougher than me...)
Anyway, the point of the story is, it does not matter if you are John Unitas or John Smith, you can make a call that will have life changing impact on someone's life...
