hi just registered and all i gotta say is "wow." i gained so much more knowledge about the body building world by just reading a few threads, anyway here is my question:

i broke my wrist (scaphoid) and the doctor said ill be out for probably 12 weeks. im just wondering if will i lose alot of strength during this time and if so how long will it take to regain it? when i get back in the gym is there any supps i could take to help speed up the process like taking arginine or andro in low dosages (100mg)? i just turned 17 so i dunno if andro is a good idea but please let me know what you guys think.

thanks

Definitely no hormonal products at your age. We don't want to permanently screw up your HPTA :)

Stick to the basics...... Whey protein blend, multi vitamin, fish oil, creatine, bcaa, pre workout supps. Let you wrist fully heal and start blasting the food and the weights.

thanks ill make sure to stay away from the andro.what does HPTA mean? hah sorry

In a nutshell, it's the system that regulates hormone production. Screwing with that while you are still developing and your body is figuring itself out can result in bad hormone disregulation and a plethora of complications.

I had a friend in HS that started roids at 16 and used for 2 years. His testicles only produce 20% of his normal testosterone level and he started use of hormone replacement therapy at 18 years old. Big big stupid mistake. Stay away until your body is FULLY matured.

"FULLY" matured typically doesn't hppen until your mid 20's.

Though, 21 is a bare minimum age to consider use of hormonal products.

woah sorry to hear about your friend. Thanks alot for the info, I have some friends thinking about using some prohormones, I should probably help them change their minds.
