Injection swelling + pain, how long?

Hey people. I five days ago I injected 2 ml (200mg of Primo) in each glute, and the last four days have been pain, pain, pain!!! My glutes have a lot of water and swelling around the injection area. This was the fourth week I was to inject 2ml at the same injection spots with no previous problems, and it's weird, cuz I switched from what I saw as a dodgy brand to BD, and once the BD Primo was in the pain came. I am hoping it's just irritated tissue, but how do I know it's not an infection? The swelling on one side goes down and upwards, up to my lower back. When I sleep it's not an issue, cuz I do not sit and irritate the site, but after a long days work it feels fucked and swollen like never before. How long should I wait for the swelling to go down before I see a doctor? Thanx for help:-)

If the swelling is growing daily, and appears red and hot, you might want to seek medical attention soon. However if you start feeling feverish, you need to right away. For future reference, try not hitting the same injection site again until it feels normal again.

What he said. If there is pronounced Swelling and redness then it might be an abcess; Doesn't hurt to let your doc check it out.

Its very strange how you can go weeks and have no pain and then all of the sudden get a reaction. I did a shot in my quad last tuesday and its still swollen today, the following friday. So its going on two weeks. Ive had an abcess before and this isnt showing the signs. No redness or heat where the swelling is, and no fever. Just have the swelling and pain. It is going down ever so slowly.

Man, mine is red and and hot on my left side as well as swollen and painfull... I'll give it another couple of days, cuz I feel no feever... the biggest surpsise is the enourmous water retention around the injection site, in the whole muscle... man how fucken annoying. My doc will probably give me the full lesson about aas, as she's also the doc to my wife and two children... bloody hell...

after injecting my bi's with tren and EQ each bicep remains warm, sore and red for about 2-3 days, is this normal for bi's? because its such a smaller muscle group??

the rule is this. if there is redness or heat at the surface then you have an infection if not then you do not. ive had lumps on my glute before for over 2 weeks. you could have hit a nerve, hit a vein, or you have a sterile infection which means the gear is trapped in a spot. if have heat or redness at the surface see a doctor asap. if not then heat massage the area. a jacuzzi jet works great or a heating pad. then massage. i went to the doc once cause i was scared they can only give you an antbiotic like cephulaxen to get rid of the swelling. heat and massage works just as well without the doc visit

Ive had this in bis when doing prop shots, but no other times. None of them turned out to be abcesses and cleared up on their own. I would watch it very carefully. With an abcess the skin takes on a strange dimpled look, kinda like chicken skin after the feathers are plucked. there is a medical term for it but I forget.

The presence of heat and the redness tends to make me think this is an abcess. How long have you had it? If youve had it for awhile and it keeps getting worse, its now time to seek help. When I got treatment he gave me 2 giant shots of antibiotics and well as orals, think they used that same antibiotic used to treat anthrax. Doctor had to slice me open and drain the abcess. If you go in early enough you might avoid all that.

the heat, swelling, and redness go away everytime on its own for me, I dont think its anything that I need to see a doc about, and this only happens when injecting Bi's, dont understand why tho

red and hot means abcess or infection get your ass in the doc. a lecture is better than surgery
