injection question??muscle twiching when i put the neddle in..

ok say your injecting in your shoulder or anyother place and u put the neddle in 3/4ths or the way or so and your shoulder muscle, or anyother muscle starts to twich,dose that mean your hitting a nerve or what??cause i know that its not hitting a vein cause ive gone throu veins berfore and had no pain at all, but it sure did leave a good sized bruse there.

basicly im talking about the shoulder area,cause my lifting partner shoulder sometimes starts to twich when i give put the neddle in, now he dosent like it at all so i just pull the neddle out and do another spot untill we find a spot that dosent twich, lol, one time i had to poke him 3 times, ouch lol. and 2 times in the other shoulder,
dose this mean im hitting a nerve or what??
even tho this has not happend to me im still interested in what is causeing this...

Don't you love it when that happens? First time it happened to me I almost shit in my pants-yeah, I think your just grazing nerves-happens in my quads all the time.

if you hit a nerve you will know it by the shock of pain your muscles just twitch somtimes because you tense up belive me a nerve feels like a bad shock

Yep.. it's normal ..

it's just the iron from the needle that makes a connection between 2 nerves ... so it feels like a shock and the muscle is reacting to that.

No problem .. just aspirate .. if there is no blood, push the plunger and feel the fluid in your muscle
