Injection problem

Hey guys, I was injecting today and I aspirated the syringe as always and got air bubbles so I went ahead with the shot and halfway through I felt a sharp pain so I paused the injection. I aspirated again, and got a lot of blood in the syring??? So I pulled out and disposed of the rest of the gear. Did I just shoot into a vein or am I good ya think? Everything was fine the first time I aspirated but this happened half way through while pushing the plunger down. Anyone have this happen and what should I think? Thanks.

You likely touched a nerve. Try to avoid that spot in the future or use shorter pins?
You could've re-shot the bloody gear too if you did it right away in another spot w/ a fresh pin on the end/swab new spot. A little blood in the syringe mixed w/ gear is no biggie as long as you aspirate again, etc. But if you're paranoid and you can afford to throw gear away, then go for it. It's not just the $$$, some guys gotta jump through some serious hoops to get good stuff, so it's actually gear is worth much more to them than $$$(time,risk,transportation, etc).

The injection site is sore as hell now right after I shot it. It usually isn't this sore. It just kinda freaked me out. I was using a 1 1/2" pin for the glutes that I always use...ya think I could get away with using a 1" and maybe that would help?

You have probably like a 1 in 100 chance of hitting that spot again, and 1's would be ok if you have minimal ass fat(no pics please). Shit happens.

Right now, I suggest you apply heat and massage the site out. Next time try a different site...1 1/2" for glutes is fine.

Thanks for the help guys, I put heat on it and it's starting to loosen up a bit. I think I'll avoid that spot for a while.

if you already asperated no blood, then felt pain halfway through, chances are you were moving pin around a lil and hit a nerve... depending on what you were shooting and gauge of pin..... I find with 23g way easier to inject glutes then 25g......... i move too much trying to push the 25 even warmed. all personal preference... 23g 1.5 and no i dont got a fat asssss
