It can be scary the first time, but it gets easier. Inject closer to the top outside of your butt, close to your hip. Push the needle in, it'll go in a decent amount but you don't need to overdo it. Then push back on the syringe plug slightly (don't inject just yet) to make sure no blood comes in the syringe (then you'd be in a vein and that's not good). Then inject.

Push a little harder to puncture the skin then go slow. I do not like raming the pin in just to avoid uncecesary pain if you hit a nerve or something especially in the guads. Then aspire for any visible blood then slowly 20-30 second inject

If you're really nervous, hold an ice cube on your skin for about 5 min until the skin turns a bit white. Dry it off then swab it with alcohol. You won't feel a thing.

Also, use one needle to draw up the meds, and another to shoot. A sharp fresh needle makes things easier.

The first time I did it, I was completely shocked at how easily the needle slid in, and how little pain there really is.

Just remember that if you follow all the directions, that the worst that is going to happen, is that it may hurt a little. Pain don't hurt.

No worries!! The first time I injected I was so scared that it seems I chased myself around the house for like 20 minutes!!! It was so funny! After I did it I felt like a little girl for being scared. It doesn't hurt and the results rock!!!!

i had to get pumped up like rocky for 10 minutes to do it and then when it was over i was like wtf thats it
