Injecting - here is my step by step plan...

New member
1st injection cycle starts in 10 days. I have no fear if all goes right, and thought I would throw this out there for crticism.

Here are the steps I plan on taking - please add/modify anything that may be off:

1. take a shower
2. wash hands
3. alcohol swab the injection spot
4. heat up the amp (I plan on running under the hot tap for a couple of minutes.)
5. open the amp (I am going to score lightly with an exacto knife, and use the top of a bic pen to snap the neck off method.)
6. draw with a fresh 20g
7. switch to a fresh 23g
8. flick the air out of the syringe
9. squeeze a drop of oil out of the pin for lubrication
10. stick (don't fuck around about it - in it goes like a dart, top outside quadrant of the ass.)
11. aspirate
12. inject slowly, pin as still as possible.
13. alcohol swab
14. massage ass for a few minutes, possibly sit on heating pad for 15 minutes.
15. go lift.

I myself have never injected myself but have done plenty others and it's not that big a deal. Just make sure whatever u have is oil based and the pin is the right size (bigger for oil) and all will go smoothly. cheers!
 
my steps are:
draw with a 22
shoot with a 25
toilet paper the area after
thats it
i havent used alcohol since my first cycle 4 years ago, not sayin this is good, just sayin it like it is.

why would this matter? what would you do differently with water based?
 
SOmething like this should be in a sticky forum for everyone, especially newbies and first time cyclers. I like this layout, especially when it is correct. That way, mistakes can't be made if you have half a brain and can read. :D

Alcohol swab to site is plenty clean unless you have real issues.
No need to heat the amp, i\I never have and have had no problem.
Air in syringe will not, i repeat, will not hurt you, can help prevent leak and bleeding.
No lube needed, you did say fresh 23g.
Slowly, no other option with 23g.

save a few steps by placing the needle pointing up on top of a heating pad then just sit down

on a serious not i think its all the right steps once you get used to it im sure youll cut a few out, good luck

Even though I go over the steps in my head every time I do it, I have still missed step 7 on occasion, and that just sucks.

Hey man don't let them bother you, if it helps you do it right, then go for it. We need more stuff black and white and RIGHT on this board. Stuff like this is perfect for a newbie or for someone who may know a lot but has only done orals or something. K to you for being thourogh....or however you spell that.

Just always had issues with water based. Oil seems to hurt less and scar less. Just always seems to go smoother.

I just recently injected myself for the first time too....so I'm no expert either. I just kinda liked it! :evil:

I love it when "experts" that have done maybe 1 or 2 cycles, make fun of someone elses inexperience
Checklist looks good, but you dont need the shower, just use an alcohol wipe on the site first

Oh, and I agree, no need to shower. It's not like the nurse gives you a spongebath before giving you the flu shot. Though I wouldn't mind... :rolleyes:

During one of my first injects, everything seemed to go smoothly. I follow pretty much the same procedure you do.

So, I swab my glute with a cotton ball, inject, massage, etc. Immediately afterwards, I notice a section of my glute has gone pale white and it started spreading over my entire cheek. I had no idea what was going on and just about crapped myself. It took me about a minute to realize I had swabbed with peroxide instead of alcohol. Be careful which bottle you grab. :rainbow:
 
No tough-guy attitude here. We all (hopefully) put a lot of thought into our first stick. Shit I was nervous as fuck and had to think about everything I was gonna do too. Its just part of learning, and I'm sure this thread will be helpful to folks..

But steve...I think even YOU will someday look back at your list of 15 steps and laugh a little. :)

Poking fun is one thing, we were all there before, and frankly, I shoot a full syringe every day, and still absolutely hate it, and get a little freaked out sometimes..... I just hate it when this stuff turns serious, in reality, compared to pros or top level NPC guys, we are all newbies and shouldnt be talking shit

This is a good step-by-step for newbies. We all have our OWN way of injecting. but good post to give some tips/tricks for others.

I do everything you listed except for the shower before, and I don't use alcohol swabs, nor do I change pins...even though I should (I am low on pins).

Heating of the oil under tap water does help the injection go a bit somoother. Also, the massaging of the injection area helps alot!

I agree completely... Even though I's stuck myself hundreds of times (thousands?), I still go through a certain procedure... Someone has to give the less experienced a little shit though. It's all in fun!! Good luck bro...

Actually I was only thinking shower before to have to body warm and loose both for the shot and to do the contortionist twisting ass injection.

I do use the Isopropyl alcohol and will do injections after a shower if possible... otherwise I just use the Isopropyl alcohol to be safe...
