injectable vitamin b12?

Vitamin B12 is necessary for the formation of blood corpuscles, nerve sheaths and various proteins. It is also involved in fat and carbohydrate metabolism and is essential for growth. Adenosylcobalamin is the coenzyme for isomerization of 1-methylmalonyl coenzyme A to succinyl Co A (an important reaction in lipid and carbohydrate metabolism) and in ribonucleotide reduction (which provides building blocks for DNA synthesis). Reactions involving methylcobalamin include biosynthesis of methionine, methane and acetate. There is evidence that vitamin B12 is required in the synthesis of folate polyglutamates (active coenzymes required in the formation of nerve tissue) and in the regeneration of folic acid during red blood cell formation.

just some other things of b12 i remembered above, lol ..... ( from the ag-guys website)

B12 stimulates red blood cell production and, like most B-Vitamins, helps in the maintenance of the nervous system. B12 is also associated with DNA replication during cell meiosis.

The extra energy would come from having more red blood cells to transport oxygen.

Liver is very high in B12 and has often been a common form of supplementation whether as meat or as dessicated liver tablets. Dairy products and eggs are other good sources.

.hich is .

..been injecting B12 (and now a B multi) for over six years now.I dont know all the scientific results of its use...but I notice a decrease in energy and vitality whenever I miss a shot or two.My doctor says its great for hair and skin formulation which is cool since my hair seems to be thinning some now .And on a totally unscientific note- I think it makes hangovers less intense-just a feeling I get.

So how much do you guys shot and how often...I was thinking of buying it from AG's

There's basically two types of injectible B-12 on the market.

Cyanacobalamin has to be injected daily as it's quick acting. You need 1,000mcg per day, every day. www.ag-guys.com who are a sponsor here, sell it.

Hydroxycobalamin, it's a long acting inj B-12, which you only have to inject once or twice a week. Another sponsor here www.synthetek.com sells a pre-stacked injectible B-12 product, called Synthelamin (ignore the oral use only warnings as they are for legal reasons only). It's 2,000mcg/ml, comprised of cyanacobalamin for a quick kick and hydroxycobalamin for long acting. So you only have to inject Synthelamin twice a week, 1ml at a time. This way, one bottle of Synthelamin (100ml) will last you a whole year, which works out to be less than $1/week.

Both, can be injected IM or SQ.

A few ladies here at the job are on some new diet where the doctor injects them with b12. Now you all know how difficult it is for some ladies to loose weight...but there are 2 women in there 30's that have dropped 30+ pounds in 2 months. There energy is definitely up....but does the B12 also provide some type of fat burning effect too ? I heard about the nervous system and DNA benfits as well as the increased energy level, but did not think it would be that significant to burn this much fat. Drastic changes in these women and I now get a woody just thinking about this one chick in particular. seems the weight loss has brought out a wild side in her....hehehe

Also, they are on a mild appetite suppressant. What about going to AG for the B12 ?

Thanks in advance
