ok im not 100% sure if this is an infection, but my trainer said it is, its hard, a lil swollen, warm to the touch, its not red or itchy, i dont have a feaver, a few days after i shot it i was very very lethargic and tired, so i took a week off assuming i was overtrained, i assumed it was the primo ace i shot, its been EXTRREAMLY painful the past 9 days and im unable to bend my leg or flex my quad, hard time walking, he said it was an infection and has me taking anti biotics right now. just wanted to check with you guys to be sure, thanks

I've heard the most important tell tale sign is the "warm to the touch" part. I've had (recently) many injections so painful I thought my ass cheek was going to explode, but it went away and was never "warm." However, if you see my thread I just injected something into myself tonight I shouldn't have and am shitting bricks as we speak. If they gave you anti-biotics, I say keep on em, its not going to hurt, better safe than sorry.

Id you see red "tendrils" Radiate go to the ER asap

also sometime its best just to go any way because sometime an ingrown hair will start to take hold if a lingering knot and ts best to nip it in the bud Before it becomes a issue

What is this indicative of?

I remember once I pinned my tear drop and imidiately got tired and had to take a nap I got so winded. The following week was a miserable one filled with lethargy and feeling constantly winded. I don't think I've ever felt anything quite as awful. Luckily it only happened once.

Just from description, and without looking at it, I think it is very likely an infection. Keflex (cephalexin) 500 mg every 8 hours, or Augmentin (depending on the formulation), or Bactrim DS (every 12 hours) would be the best choices. Amoxicillin has less than 5% chance of being effective.

I hope you got the antibiotics from a doctor who prescribed them. Taking the wrong antibiotics or not taking them properly can and will cause more problems.
