Yes. Exchange traded funds (ETFs) are the way to go. Open an Ameritrade (or Etrade or whatever) account and buy them through there. You can even do IRAs with them. Once you open it, the main one to get is ticker symbol IVV. It's basically the same thing as a Spider (S&P 500 Index fund) but they have a lower expense ratio. Diamonds (DIA-Dow Jones Index) and Cubes (QQQ-Nasdaq) are also good.
Thanks, i read up on them awhile ago..I have to re read about the meanings again...Im looking to make lots of money in long term, maybe 10% or more a year by opeing it up and depositing money every month or so..Kinda like a personal retirement account of sorts.
