Incline Dumbell equal front delts

Hey guys, I find that heavy incline press works my front delts. I also include side laterals and rear delts as well as traps on both back and shoulder day (One heavy day, 1 light). Does anyone else find that incline works front delts.

Thanks guys

Of course it does- works both chest and delts- side and rear delts are stabalizing muscle groups. In any kind of a pressing movement even flat bench your delts will be worked to some extent.

The pecs natural motion is to bring the arms down and across the torso- that's why flies and cable crosses are isolation exercises.

I dont know whether you are complaining or merely just stating that they work your front shoulders.

If you just stating that they work your front shoulders then that ok because they are supposed to indirectly.

If you are complaining that they are working your front shoulders to much then it may be because the incline that you are using is too steep. Try using a 30 to 15 degree incline. This is more of a natural angle to work the upper chest.

Shit! Looks like some serious overtraining of the shoulders is taking place here.

Actually it could also be because you are pressing with your delts. I find that my clients with long arms and weak pecs have to learn how to press with the pecs.
The points made in the other responses are definitely valid (although I find the ideal angle is very dependent on body structure and mind-muscle connection), but what I find is that many people let their shoulders move up towards their ears (like a shrug) instead on having them move towards the floor. The rib cage should remain expanded throughout the movement. As many people exhale the chest caves in-letting the delts take over the press. In short, KEEP THE CHEST UP and KEEP THE SHOULDERS DOWN!:D
