In the last 3 months My Body transformed

Prior to my separation:

weighed 224 lbs
could bairly do 10 push ups
maybe 2 sets of 10 curls with 20lbs dumbells
had a big old gut
got winded walking up the stairs

Today
204 lbs at 6'1"
Go to the gym almost every day
arms actually have some definition
lats finally show up
look bigger in the chest and shoulders
gut has way slimmed down
can run on the tread mill for 15 min

So really its been only a few months of work. When do you all think I can expect to really look bigger and more fit. Really the only fat area is around my stomach. If I can get down to around 190 and keep upping my workout schedule, I think I would look pretty damn good by summer. Enough to actually take off my shirt and feel o.k. about it. Hell I'm almost to that point now.

Have you taken any pics to look at yourself? This is the best way, as it tells you more than looking in the mirror. Just make sure you have a good diet for holding on to LBM. Do your cardio after your lifting.

I am such a puss about diet. I'm trying though. And am doing the cardio
 
Nice job bro!!! way to not sit around after a separation and let yourself become depressed!! BIG PROPS TO YOU!!!

Just try and get the basics of a good diet down. You can still do this and lead a normal life. Good carbs, high protien, medium amount of fat, and lots of water.

I really need to start to look at my diet a bit. Cutting out the soda and just doing water mostly. Started eating chicken (which I hate ) and trying to drop the fried stuff. I just really love that stuff. I hate to work this hard and have to give up the food I love too.

I bet you'll find new things to love tho. I used to eat red meat about 1-2 x/ yr - then when I started competition, I gained a HYUGE appreciation for a grilled hunk o' steak. To me there isn't much that can take the place of a really nice grilled steak, chicken or fish.

Part of it is just clearing out the shit from your diet & get your body used to eating cleaner stuff. Eventually even your cheat meals get clean because the shitty stuff you used to love doesn't even sound good anymore.
