Improved skin on HGH?

fact.

it boosts collagen and elastin production which is what gives skin firmness and resiliancy - the anti-aging studies document the clinical improvement in measures of lines/wrinkles/sagginess/elasticity/etc

Got any studies Mava? You're usually pretty good about that. I'm not saying I don't believe you, I just want to check out the studies for myself.

Without my GF knowing I was using it she commented how soft my skin and hair were. She asked if I was using any special soap or shampoo :)

I'm not sure if I ever read the actual studies, but its one of those things that's become generally accepted as fact in the medical/health/anti-aging literature, and I remember reading articles that quoted from the studies and I was satisfied at the time (I'm a cynical doubting thomas so it must have been at least halfway convincing).

here's an excerpt from one such article:

Dr. Ronald Klatz described the effect of growth hormone on the skin:

"Growth hormone is the only anti-aging treatment known that actually makes people look younger. Creams and lotions that contain antioxidants, like vitamins E, A, or C and retinoic acid, have been shown to erase fine lines (but) do not stop the skin from sagging or shrinking. Only growth hormone therapy can take a decade or more off your face."

Elmer Cranton, M.D., of the Mount Rainier Clinic in Washington, has treated patients with hGH for over five years and witnessed firsthand the reversal of skin wrinkling: "The skin gets thicker, and the dehydration that occurs with age is reversed."

Human Growth Hormone treatment reduces skin wrinkling by its ability to stimulate protein synthesis, which leads to higher production of collagen and elastin, two essential skin proteins that form skin's structure.

It also reverses the rigidity of collagen and elastin. This becomes increasingly important as we age, since both collagen and elastin tend to become more brittle and lose their elasticity.
"With growth hormone, the skin turgor (plumpness) is markedly better," related Vincent Giampapa, M.D. plastic surgeon. "The skin doesn't seem to hang as much."

I'm bumping this old thread for more info. I have lots of eye wrinkles for my age (32), and I've been on human growth hormone - somatropin - for a month and plan to do 6 months. Would exfoliating or microdermabrasion speed up the process and make it more effective to get that younger looking skin back?? I'm thinking of trying a routine of microdermabrasion and moisturizer while on gh - growth hormone (somatropin) - , to see if I can get rid of some of these wrinkles. Anyone else tried this?

I'm 50 and have noticed a DEFINATE desrease in eye wrinkles. They are not going to disappear but my face is more elastic. Not dramatic, but noticable for sure. I've only been on hgh for 6 months. It only gets better the longer you use it. A good cosmetic dermatologist could give you some options.
But really guys SHOULD have some laugh lines around their eyes.
