Hey bros im cutting now and figuring that my workout is 45minutes or so and immediately after i do 45 minutes or 40 min of cardio and taking into account that be-4 this during the day i only eat about 100- 150g carbs is it ok for me to eat around 50-75 g carbs after workout or shoudl it be lower. (can about 30 of these or more be from sugar since it is going to replenish glycogen and will no tturn into fat anwyays) My stats : 248 6' 19

my biggest carb meal is after my cardio/ workout and I'm dieting for a show so my answer is yes......what's worked great for me is Isopure protein (vanilla), OJ, and oatmeal all mixed together.....it's really not that bad!.....I actually like it

I'll never understand why anyone would run on a threadmill for 45 minutes in order to burn glycogen, just to replace it 10 minutes after they stop running.

What would you suggest Nelson...I generally only replace my glycogen levels after heavy lifting and not cardio.

It isn't the glycogen replenising that I have a problem with. It's the additional 45 minutes of training to do nothing but burn sugar.

Have to take an unpopular stance; I agree w/ Nelson. Why not just don't do cardio and cut down the amount of carbs taken after workout? Or if you do 300 cals of cardio don't take in then 300 cals of sugar.

so then, are you suggesting no carbs post workout and cardio?

Much too funny.Nelson... 1st cardio is needed for me it is the way i get cut.. 2nd IF you read what i said corectly..i do my workout and after 45 minutes all carbs in my body are depleted when i not run but moderate pace with heart rate set to fat burning which is 137 for me about burn around 500-700 cals or so on the treadmill...Point being when i begin my cardio i am depleted of any carbs thus i am burning fat for the 45 minutes i am doing th e cardio...once i get off the cardio machine i immediately repplenish th emuch needed glycogen in my system thru simple/ long acting carbs with a protein shake.

If i do the damn cario or not i need those carbs after workout so by doing cardio i put myself in a caloric defecit more..its realy quite simple..and please no stupid threads about ho wcardio is stupid..if you dont compete...god damn...the question was about th esugars how many g of sugars...mayeb i should rephrase my thread..ONLY BIG PEOPLE who knwo what the fuck they are talkin about please anwser fucking questions and not tell me "why th ehell you doign cardio". You seen big people win shows without cardio? You didi huh..hahaha..BULSHIT.m8...

Naw, I'm not suggesting no carbs after weights and cardio but lower carbs and/or low GI carbs if cutting. If seriously cutting though drop all carbs and run a CKD. To me cutting is all about lowering carbs, cardio on an empty stomach and post workout, and oh yeah fina helps too.

Losing weight is not the only benefit to doing cardio, remember that cardio has tremendous benefits to our cardiovascular health.

IMO cardio should always be done whether cutting or bulking.

I find it much easier to have 2000 calories and do 45 min of cardio than 1700 cals and no cardio.

I limit my postworkout carbs to 25-30gms plus some protein. I can't lose if my daily carbs are over 100gms.

I'm glad I'm bulking, the only thing I have to do is open my mouth and inhale food. Works for me. :D
