Hey guys,

I have been outta shape and use to lift in highschool (just graduated) a month ago...So I decided to head over to the Y and lift...I did full upper body lifting...I think I pushed way too hard for not being in shape...Now I'm having immense pain in both my arms let me describe what happened:

I lifted a day before yesterday....I was a little sore and when I fell asleep, next morning I woke up because of immense pain in my left arm...If I put my arm palm facing up, and I try to stretch it straight it wouldn't let me (even though I could it was shooting pain). Around the elbow area and biceps if I press, I feel pain...My right arm was sore but normal...now next morning (today), my right arm started having a similar sort of pain....My left arm is still worst, but my right arm is also not normal at all...Please can anyone tell me what this is? Have I pulled a muscle? Tendinitis? Ripped muscle? What should I do and how long will it take to heal? All feedback very welcome...I'm in dire need, especially since my graduation party is in few days.

Regards.

Hard to analyze from a distance.

Take some otc pain relief that doesn't give you nausea ... chewable ibru or aspirin.

Use some ice, but don't burn the skin. Cold tape water compresses are good too.

Rest a lot for next few days. You are young and will heal quickly.

Ok thanks for help....I am icing for 20 mins a day usually il'l try doin it a few times for few days...and rest as you said :) . will take motrin ib (only thing i have).

sounds like you strained the muscle. I get the same feeling when I start to over train. Just give it a few days you should be fine.
