IMAX Mars

Bump, as I just saw a commercial for this. Looks excellent -- and with all the rover data and imagry we have, it's going to be far from a cheesy computer-generated guess at what we think is out there.

Unfortunetly, I don't think Purdue has an Imax, so seeing this would mean going to Indy... which is beyond my pathetic means at this time...

id like to see it but i cant handle imax, went to one before, its just too big and it seems like its right on top of you, made me feel kind of sick

I've only seen a real Imax once or twice, and I tend to agree here. While it's a great idea and stuff, it was almost too much -- putting it on widescreen or something would be just as practical, and then they could put it in theaters or something. I don't even know of any Imax theaters in Indiana, and I ain't going to Chicago or Milwaukee solely to see a 20-minute movie for fifteen bucks.

I love going to Imax and since I am a Denver Museum member I get in cheap. Plus I actually saw the first rover before it was sent up there, thing was pretty damn cool.

Cheers,
