I dunno, but if you find out, let me know. I've been plagued with them lately too. What's worse is that my desk is just on the other side of the kitchen door from my sink, so they are attracted to my computer monitor when everything else is dark.

Hmm, they don't seem to be flitting around in here tonight, I wonder if they finally died off?

i recently brought a plant in from outside and there was a fly in my house. a regular fly.
then there were two.
then 5.
ok, now i'm freaked cause i was going away for a week and worried i'd come home to a houseful of flies and my house is CLEAN.
i put up those gross fly strips and come home to one having like 30 of them. throw em away and figure thats it.
but... its not.
soon i had about 5 more and now i have another ugly gross flystrip up with about 20 on it. how the hell do you get rid of regular flies????

Do you have pets? The dogs will bring them in. I kill them whenever I see them, even with my bare hands. I just hit them real quick with an open palm, so I don't get their guts on my hand. I do use a fly swatter if I can get to it in time. I hate flies, roaches, mice, rats. Who doesn't?

i have a dog who hates being out. she runs out, does her thang, and runs back in, plus i now have a tiny cute puppy but i just got her thursday.
and my neutered, happy cat.

i think there's a fly festival going on somewhere in my house and they are doing the nasty.

That's odd, normally houseflies have to grow out of some source of bacteria like dead bodies or shit. I remember killing 14 flies in 1 hour...that was a weird day.

Bananas are horrible for fruit flies, I refrigerate the bananas now. I fucking hate fruit flies, doesn't appear they're afraid to die as evidenced by them flying in your face

wow soon after reading this thread I walk into the kitchin to see 5 of these little fucks buzzin' around. must be that time of the year or something. my fucking roommates leave dirty pots and shit out all the time, too. time they had a reality check
