i know someone thats terrified of them, more the scales than anything. she's got an amazing complexion though, i don;t know how she could get such nice skin with no fish oils, her EFA intake doesnt look great

Ocean creatures don't scare me since I'm not going anywhere near theme. Spiders, on the other hand, crawl and walk all over the place. Anything small and mean and sneaky is much more scary than a big shark that you can see coming. I mean I don't live in the water and I sure as hell am not going to go in their environment. Spiders come to you. It's not like there's a part of the world ONLY for spiders, like a spider country you can visit for a vacation if you're a nutcase. But no; they are everywhere... just ugh.

I used to own many in my 55gallon acrylic... they're nice fish to have... that pic you saw was an ugly pic of a piranha with its gums cut back... normally you don't see the teeth. Also, their colors are awesome.. really bright red and orange and silver. Also, piranha are scared of everything, they're very skittish. I also owned a black piranha in a 20gallon -- those things don't take shit from ANYTHING and they're not scared of anything either. Only one can live in a tank, very territorial.

i assumed they;d be more aggressive, i guess its only when there in packs and they sense blood, then go mental as a pack

u ever cut urself and drip some blood in the tank and see if they go apeshit?
